About

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, racism and attacks against Asians have been on the rise. In response to the surging cases of racial discrimination and hate crime against Asians in North America, over 300 associations jointly formed The Asian-Canadian Anti-Racism Alliance (ACARA) to condemn the recent acts of racial discrimination towards the Asian Canadians.

ACARA was founded by a number of Canadian Asian communities and received supports from many other organizations within a short period of time. We are in the process of setting up an advisory organization, which will be joined by legislators from three levels of government and community leaders. The alliance is also supported strongly by prominent lawyers and media personalities.

As Asian Canadians, verbal abuse and physical assault have seriously affected our daily safety and violated our human rights. We must unite and promote "anti-discrimination, anti-hate, anti-violence". We should also push for legislation to combat all forms of racism and discrimination. Asian-Canadian Anti-Racism Alliance needs your support and participation.
